Questions for families
40 family questions for dinner, road trips and visits to grandma
Families spend a lot of time together, but the conversations often stay the same: school, work, what is for dinner. A good question can change that in a moment. Suddenly grandpa tells a story nobody has heard before, or the kids find out what their parents wanted to be when they grew up.
Here is how it works. Someone reads a question out loud and answers it first, then everyone else takes a turn. There are no wrong answers, and anyone can pass. With younger kids, it helps to start with the funny questions at the end and save the memory questions for later.
These questions work at the dinner table, on long road trips, at family gatherings and especially with grandparents, who often have the best stories. Below you will find 40 questions from the Family deck in Say It!, sorted by theme: childhood memories, family stories, everyday life together, traditions and dreams, and a few just for fun.
